Quick Answer

Yes, Amazon can deliver some orders to a PO Box. Enter your PO Box address at checkout to see whether the items you want can be shipped there.

We get quite a few emails about USPS policies and practices. One question we get a lot is whether Amazon will ship to a PO Box. USPS frequently handles package deliveries for Amazon, including deliveries to PO boxes.

How to Enter a PO Box Address on Amazon

Add your PO Box as a delivery address in your Amazon account, then select it for your order.

Can You Use the Post Office's Street Address?

Yes, if your location offers USPS Street Addressing and you sign up for it. USPS specifically lists Amazon among the private carriers that can deliver packages through this service.

Ask your Post Office whether your box qualifies and use the address they provide.

Try an Amazon Pickup Location

If your order cannot go to your PO Box, try an Amazon Locker or Counter pickup location.

Open Amazon's pickup-location finder, search your city or ZIP Code, and pick a location. Select “Add to address book,” then choose that address at checkout.

Once the package arrives, follow the pickup instructions and deadline in your delivery email. For Amazon Lockers, you have three calendar days to collect your package before it is returned for a refund.

What If the Package Is Too Big for Your PO Box?

It does not have to fit inside the box itself. USPS can leave a pickup slip so you can collect it at the counter, or put it in a parcel locker.

Check your PO Box for a notice and follow the pickup instructions. Counter pickups need to be made during the Post Office's service hours.
