About The Letter Pilot

Mailing a document should not require owning a printer

The Letter Pilot lets people upload a document, enter a mailing address, and send physical mail without printing pages, buying envelopes, finding stamps, or visiting a Post Office.

It started with a family member who needed help

The Letter Pilot began when founder Chris Curzon helped an elderly relative who needed to mail documents but no longer had a printer. Sending one letter meant finding someone to print it, locating an envelope, adding postage, and getting it to a mailbox or Post Office.

Chris started handling the printing and mailing remotely. After doing that a few times, he realized the problem was not limited to one family. Many people no longer own printers, work away from an office, travel, or simply need a faster way to put a document in the mail.

What we learned along the way

A process that was simple for a few letters became more complicated as volume grew. Reliable mailing requires document checks, consistent address formatting, batch handling, job tracking, and a working understanding of USPS services.

Those lessons also shaped our USPS and mailing guides. We publish practical answers based on experience running the service, with official sources used for USPS rules and delivery standards.
